ClearMyPTE covers every question type you will encounter in the real PTE Academic exam. Questions are organised into four sections, matching the official PTE format.
Speaking (7 Question Types)
- Read Aloud — Read a text passage aloud clearly and naturally.
- Repeat Sentence — Listen to a sentence and repeat it exactly.
- Describe Image — Describe a chart, graph, map, or image in detail.
- Re-tell Lecture — Listen to a lecture and retell the key points.
- Answer Short Question — Answer a question with a single word or a few words.
- Summarise Group Discussion — Summarise the main points from a group discussion.
- Respond to Situation — Provide an appropriate response to a given scenario.
Writing (2 Question Types)
- Summarise Written Text — Read a passage and summarise it in one sentence.
- Write Essay — Write a 200-300 word essay on a given topic.
Reading (5 Question Types)
- Multiple Choice, Single Answer — Choose the single correct answer from several options.
- Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers — Select all correct answers from the options.
- Re-order Paragraphs — Drag and drop sentences into the correct logical order.
- Fill in the Blanks (Reading & Writing) — Select the correct word for each blank from a dropdown.
- Fill in the Blanks (Reading) — Drag words into the correct blanks in the passage.
Listening (8 Question Types)
- Summarise Spoken Text — Listen to a recording and write a summary.
- Multiple Choice, Single Answer — Listen and choose the single correct answer.
- Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers — Listen and select all correct answers.
- Fill in the Blanks — Listen and type the missing words.
- Highlight Correct Summary — Choose the paragraph that best summarises the recording.
- Select Missing Word — Choose the word or phrase that completes the recording.
- Highlight Incorrect Words — Follow along with the transcript and click words that differ from the audio.
- Write from Dictation — Listen to a sentence and type it exactly.
