How Question Navigation Works
Moving Between Questions
ClearMyPTE makes it easy to navigate through practice questions at your own pace. The question interface includes clear controls for moving forward, going back, and submitting your answers.
Navigation Controls
- Next button — Move forward to the next question. If you have not submitted your current answer, you will be prompted to either submit or skip.
- Previous button — Go back to review a question you have already seen. Your previous answers and scores are preserved.
- Submit button — Submit your current answer for scoring. For Writing questions, the button may enforce a minimum word count before allowing submission.
Question History
As you work through questions, your history is tracked within the session. You can navigate back to review your previous answers and the feedback you received. This is useful for comparing your responses across similar questions and tracking your improvement.
Submission Validation
Some question types include validation rules to ensure your answer meets the minimum requirements before submission. For example, the Write Essay question type requires a minimum word count, and Summarise Written Text requires your response to be a single sentence. These validations help you build good habits that align with the real PTE exam requirements.
If a question type requires audio recording (Speaking), make sure your microphone is enabled and the browser has permission to access it before you submit.
