WhatsApp Credential Sharing for Institutes

One-Click Student Credential Sharing

Institute admins can now send student login credentials directly via WhatsApp using approved Meta templates. No more manual email composition, no risk of typos, full audit trail.

How It Works

From the Institute Admin Panel → Students list, click on a student.
Hit "Send Credentials via WhatsApp".
The system sends an approved WhatsApp template to the student's registered phone number, containing their username, password, and the institute portal URL.
The send is logged in the system (date, time, status).

Bulk Sending

For new student batches, you can select multiple students from the list view and send credentials to all in one operation. Useful when you've just imported a class of 30+ students.

Approved Template

The message uses Meta-approved new_student_account template — pre-vetted by WhatsApp Business so deliverability is high (no spam folder risk).

Why WhatsApp?

Indian students check WhatsApp far more than email.
Credentials arrive instantly with notification.
Zero email-bounce issues (some students provide stale email addresses).
No manual copy-paste errors in passwords.

Privacy & Security

Only the student's registered phone receives credentials.
Send is logged with timestamp + delivery status.
Passwords are temporary — students should change on first login.
If a phone number changes, send aborts; institute must update the phone first.

Setup

Already enabled for all active institute accounts. Visit /institute/admin → Students and look for the WhatsApp icon next to each row.
