PTE Core is Live on ClearMyPTE

We've added full support for PTE Core alongside our existing PTE Academic content. If you're preparing for Canadian Express Entry or any other Core-eligible application, ClearMyPTE now has you covered end-to-end.

What's New for Core Students

Test type selector in your profile. Pick "Core" and the platform reconfigures every screen.
Core-only question types: Respond to a Situation (Speaking) and Write Email (Writing) — fully practiceable with AI scoring.
Filtered question banks — Academic-only types (Re-tell Lecture, Essay, Summarise Group Discussion, Highlight Correct Summary) are hidden when you're on Core.
Core mock exams — full-length mocks structured to the Core format.
Predicted score calibrated for Core scale.
Dashboard, score reports, weak-area analysis — all reflect Core format.

How to Switch

Go to your profile.
Find "Test Type" and select "PTE Core".
Confirm. The platform updates immediately — practice listings, mock exams, dashboard widgets.

You Can Switch Back

You can change between Academic and Core anytime — your practice history is preserved. We'd recommend picking one based on your application target and committing to it for at least a few weeks of focused prep.

What If You're Already Practicing Academic?

Your historical practice carries over. The shared 17 question types (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blanks, etc.) work the same in both tests, so your accuracy stats stay intact. Only the Academic-only or Core-only types change.
