Phone Verification on ClearMyPTE
Phone verification is a core part of ClearMyPTE's account security. Your phone number is verified during the registration process and serves as your primary identity on the platform.
How Verification Works
When you register, a 4-digit OTP is sent to your phone via WhatsApp. Once you enter this code correctly, your phone number is marked as verified. This is a one-time process that happens during registration.
Verified Phone Number
- Your verified phone number is displayed on your profile page with a green "Verified" badge.
- For security reasons, your phone number cannot be changed after verification. This prevents unauthorized account transfers.
- If you need to use a different phone number, you would need to create a new account.
What Your Phone Number Is Used For
- Login — You can log in using your phone number and password.
- OTP delivery — Password reset OTPs are sent to your verified number via WhatsApp.
- Account recovery — Your phone number is the primary method for recovering your account.
- WhatsApp notifications — Payment confirmations and important updates are sent to your verified number.
Always ensure that WhatsApp is installed and active on your registered phone number to receive OTPs and important notifications from ClearMyPTE.
