Deleting Your ClearMyPTE Account

Self-Service Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your ClearMyPTE account yourself in under a minute — no need to email support. The flow is in your profile, behind a confirmation step that requires you to type your email to prevent accidental deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

1. Open your profile
2. Click the Security tab
3. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account
4. Read the deletion summary carefully
5. Type your registered email address to confirm
6. Click Permanently delete

You will be signed out immediately and your account is queued for permanent removal.

What Gets Wiped — All Of It

• Practice history — every attempt, every score, every AI feedback record
• Mock exam results — every full mock, sectional mock, and predicted score
• Speaking recordings still within their 90-day retention window
• Writing answers — including ones you might want to keep
• Wallet credit — including referral earnings; this is not refunded to a bank account
• Active sessions on every device
• Profile data — name, phone, email, preferences

This is irreversible. We do not run a "soft delete with 30-day grace" — once you confirm, the wipe is queued and cannot be undone.

What Does NOT Auto-Refund

An active paid subscription does not auto-refund on deletion. If you delete your account mid-subscription, the remaining time is forfeit and there is no refund. This catches a surprising number of students out, so:

Recommended Pre-Deletion Checklist

1. Cancel auto-renewal first — see refund and cancellation policy. If you are within 7 days of purchase and unused, request a 50% refund before deleting.
2. Withdraw your wallet balance if it crosses the threshold — see withdrawing referral earnings. Wallet credit cannot be reclaimed after deletion.
3. Download any writing answers or recordings you want to keep, from the practice review screen.
4. Download tax invoices for any GST receipts you may need for accounting.
5. Then proceed with deletion.

How Long Until Data Is Fully Gone?

Personal data is removed from active systems immediately and from all backups within 30 days. After that, only fully de-identified aggregate metrics may persist (e.g. "X mock exams attempted in May 2026").

If you change your mind before confirming, simply close the page — nothing is deleted until you click the final confirm. Manage everything from your profile.
