ClearMyPTE sends OTPs via WhatsApp, not SMS. If you are waiting for an OTP and it has not arrived, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
- Check WhatsApp, not SMS — OTPs are delivered through WhatsApp messages, not as regular text messages. Open WhatsApp and look for a message from the ClearMyPTE number.
- Verify your phone number — Make sure you entered the correct phone number with the right country code. Even a single wrong digit will send the OTP to the wrong number.
- Wait and resend — There is a 60-second cooldown between OTP requests. Wait for the timer to expire, then click "Resend OTP" to request a new code.
- Check WhatsApp is working — Ensure WhatsApp is installed, up to date, and logged in on your phone. Try sending a message to a friend to confirm WhatsApp is functioning normally.
- Check your internet connection — WhatsApp requires an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to receive messages.
