Q: Does ClearMyPTE work offline?

No. ClearMyPTE is a fully cloud-based platform — every practice attempt is scored by our AI servers in real time, every Listening audio is streamed from our CDN, and every mock exam is delivered live from our backend. None of these can run on your device alone, so an active internet connection is required at all times during practice. Our recommendation: practise on Wi-Fi rather than mobile data when possible. Listening audio files are usually 1–3 MB each, and a full 2-hour mock exam can pull 100–200 MB of data including the Speaking upload.

Yes — our Predictions PDF (the curated list of high-frequency exam questions) is a downloadable document you can read on any device, even on a plane or in a tunnel. See Downloading the Predictions PDF for how to get it.

What if my internet drops mid-exam?

For practice mode, your last submitted answer is saved — just refresh and continue. For mock exams, contact support with your exam ID and we can usually restore your session and not double-charge the attempt.
