How quickly do PTE results come?

For most candidates, PTE results land in your Pearson account inbox within 24 to 48 hours of finishing the test — making it the fastest major English proficiency test in the world. Many users report scores arriving within 12 hours when the test is taken in the morning at a low-traffic centre.

Pearson does not commit to a fixed SLA, but their published guidance is "typically within 5 business days" — that 5-day window is the worst case during peak booking periods (January, July, August) or if your exam is flagged for biometric or scoring review.

Will I get an email when my score is ready?

Yes — Pearson emails the address registered on your account the moment scores are released, with a link to view your score report and start sending it to institutions. Make sure that email address is current and that Pearson emails are not in your spam folder.

What if my score takes longer than 5 days?

Contact Pearson Customer Care with your registration ID. The most common reasons for delay are minor biometric mismatch (rare), audio-quality flagging, or routine random verification. Most cases resolve within a further 2–7 days. See After the PTE Test for what to expect post-exam.
